Welcome to the 2014 Harry Bowling Prize for New Writing

The Harry Bowling Prize for New Writing is committed to discovering talented new writers. We are looking for genuine storytellers who impress and entertain us with drama and great characters, just as Harry Bowling did.

The prize was launched in 2000 in memory of Harry Bowling, the bestselling novelist whose publisher Headline Publishers remains its generous sponsor.

Previous winners include Cathy WoodmanPip Granger and Jean Fullerton.

New for 2014, an exciting new flash fiction prize!
